In Haliburton County, for the month of June the market has dropped 20% on volume of sales (June 2009 – June 2010).  However, when we look at the overall year to date compared to last year, the market is up 30%.

In June 2010, the average selling price (for all types of properties) in the last 12 months was $255,217.41 – compared to June 2009 when the average selling price in the last 12 months was $28,962.68.  This represents a change of 2.51% or $6,254.73.

Because June was a bit slower than last year, there is a surplus of product.  Therefore, we are experiencing a pretty good buyers market.
